The Piano Concert

“Next up is Aviral Agarwal,” The announcer said, struggling to say my name.  My stomach did a few loop de loops as I took a deep breath and stood up.  I looked around taking in everything. I could see the light brown planks on the stage, and the curtain.  It felt like everything was in slow motion as I started to walk towards the piano. Every step that I took felt like a year had passed by. I could feel the eyes of the crowd upon me, as if they were watching just to see if I was going to make a mistake.  I felt so awkward and stiff as I walked. I felt a shiver go down my spine, as I got closer to the piano.  I stared at the sleek black Yamaha piano in front of me too afraid to look at the crowd. Still though, I dared myself to look at the crowd, and regretted it immediately. A whole new level of nervousness overcame me, as I saw how many people were in the crowd.  I started to think about all the places ...

The Missing Money

The Missing Money         The sky was dark outside, as a very rich lawyer started to go to sleep. He was well known and one of the richest people alive. Once he was sound asleep, a man dressed in an all black outfit dropped from the ceiling like a spider landing on his feet. He hurried to a drawer and found a large briefcase. He opened it up and smiled. He pressed an earpiece.  “I found it, George.” He spoke in a deep voice. He dropped a note inside and left the house, making sure that there was no trace of him. At least he thought he left no trace. The next morning the very rich man woke up, and walked to the drawer to take out some of his money from the briefcase. He opened it up and nearly collapsed. His briefcase was empty. The only thing inside, was the note that the robber had left inside.  It read “ This is payback ,”      The man called the police to investigate. The police couldn’t find any evidence an...

Nature

The wind blew  The trees grew  The water was a dark blue  The color was true  Nature is everywhere  Nothing can compare  To the awesomeness of nature  It has many features  Such as wind, water, and air  Nature is always there

The day in May

I stared at the clear blue sea  Leaning against a tree   The wind blew  And the birds flew  Next to the puffy, white clouds,  Chirping aloud       A squirrel ran into the woods  As I pulled on my hood     This day in May   Was a beautiful day

Trump's Handling of the Coronavirus

Lets face it. Trump is handling the coronavirus situation terribly. He has done very little to stop the spread of covid. He isn't taking this seriously. Millions of people are dying and he was like "The heat will stop the coronavirus" Doctors were given baseball jerseys and helmets as gear when they were going to help a patient with covid. Many doctors continuously ask him to increase the amount of money given to their supplies. Instead, he is trying to date his own daughter. It's so appalling that he was actually elected president. The actions that he has taken are very minor and he should have taken those actions a lot earlier than he did. It is just so insane that places way underdeveloped than America are handling the covid case so much better. America's cases are increasing while places like Asia have the cases decreasing rapidly. The only reason this is happening is because of Trump's handling of the coronavirus. He is always acting like it is no...

The Bully Detector

“Hurry up Aviral!” My best friend, Aarav yelled from the front door of my compact apartment.  “What?” I asked, groggily waking up from my uncomfortable square bed.  We were on the spaceship Vestigo and we were in space. The reason we were up here was that my parents were pretty smart people. My dad is a really good astronaut as well as an expert on aerospace engineering. My mom is an aerospace scientist.  Life up here is not as cool as it seems. You see, the food sucks, the bathrooms stink, and half the time you're up here, you feel like you're going to vomit. Also, you still have to go to school.  “You're late for school, dude!” Aarav said in an irritated voice. I couldn’t blame him. This was about the hundredth time I overslept on a school day, dreaming about being back at home and on Earth.  I got up and got dressed as quickly as I could, wondering what my next excuse would be.  I could say I started to vomit again, I thought. Wait, never min...
